S002-PAKISTAN LLEGADA JD VANCE NEGOCIACIONES PAZ
STORY: U.S. Vice President JD Vance arrived in Pakistan on Saturday (April 11) to hold peace talks with Iran, even as Tehran insisted on measures it said needed to be addressed first, throwing last-minute doubt over the meetings.
Vance will lead a U.S. delegation, which includes President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner.
The Iranian delegation, led by parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, arrived on Friday (April 10).
These will be the highest-level U.S.-Iran talks since the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and the first official face-to-face negotiations between the two sides since 2015, when the two sides reached a deal on Iran's nuclear program.
