J006-VENEZUELA VISITA DELCY A RESCATISTAS
Venezuela's acting president Delcy Rodriguez visited international search and rescue teams deployed in La Guaira on Wednesday (June 24), meeting with personnel from France and Peru as efforts to find survivors of last week's devastating earthquakes continued.
Rodriguez greeted members of both the French and Peruvian search and rescue teams, taking time to speak with personnel and even stopping to greet one of the rescue dogs deployed in the operation.
Authorities said the oil-rich South American country has received support from 30 nations, including 1,000 metric tons of supplies, more than 3,600 rescue and support workers as well as 118 search-and-rescue canines.
