Es el primer caso de un obispo investigado por el Vaticano por presunto abuso sexual en España. El actual obispo de Cádiz y Ceuta, Rafael Zornoza, Está siendo investigado por la Santa Sede por hechos que ocurrieron hace 30 años cuando era cura en Madrid. Él ha suspendido su agenda y el Obispado sostiene que las acusaciones son falsas. Zornoza ahora tiene 76 años y le investigan por presuntamente agredir sexualmente durante siete años a un menor de edad en el seminario de Getafe en los años 90.
