STORY: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened his cabinet meeting in Jerusalem on Wednesday (June 25) after a ceasefire with Iran seemed to be holding.

Netanyahu called Israel's air assault to destroy Iran's nuclear sites and missiles a "great victory", and said removal of those threat would ensure "the eternity of Israel".

U.S. President Donald Trump revelled in the swift end to a 12-day war between Iran and Israel, calling it "a victory for everybody."

Iran also declared victory, claiming to have forced the end of the war by penetrating Israeli defences with its retaliation.
