X607-ESTADOS UNIDOS COCHE CONTRA MANIFESTANTES CHICAGO
STORY: A car was seen speeding through a crowd of people, who had gathered to protest federal immigration sweeps ordered by U.S. President Donald Trump, in Chicago on Tuesday (June 10).
The Chicago Sun-Times said the car had been stuck between police vehicles and officers were attempting to direct the driver onto another street, before the driver ignored orders and sped through the crowd.
Local media said one person was injured but it was not clear if the person was hospitalized. Police did not provide information about the driver on Tuesday night.
Protests also took place in other cities including New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles, where Trump's extraordinary measures of sending National Guard and Marines to quell protests have fueled demonstrations for a fifth day.
