X074-GAZA RESCATE MUJER
Palestinians rescued on Wednesday (August 20) 23-year-old woman, Saja Hamad, from under the rubble, following an Israeli strike in Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip.
Video obtained by Reuters showed Hamad trapped and aching, while rescuers tried to clear the rubble with their hands and shoves.
Reuters was not able to confirm the location where the video was recorded. The date when the video was recorded was verified by the metadata on the original video file.
The war began when Hamas-led fighters stormed into Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages, according to Israeli figures. Israel's offensive has since killed more than 62,000 Palestinians, according to local health officials who do not distinguish between fighters and non-combatants.
The Israeli assault has plunged Gaza into a humanitarian crisis and displaced most of its population.
