REINO UNIDO (LONDRES)

STORY: Construction workers in London were suffering in the unrelenting heat on Wednesday (June 24) saying there was "no let up" and "no shade."

While some of the workers said they knew the heat was coming and were prepared, others said they were finding it a "struggle."

The BBC reported on Wednesday that the UK's June temperature record had been broken, hitting 35.7 degrees Celsius (96.26 degrees Fahrenheit) in Charlwood, Surrey.

The Met Office weather service issued only the second extreme-heat weather warning in history.
