SHOWS: Eyewitness video released on social media on Tuesday (March 10) showed smoke rising after an explosion in the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of footage from surrounding buildings, trees, road layout and bridge, which matched satellite and file imagery.

Reuters could not independently verify the date but no older versions of the videos were found posted online before Tuesday. Coordinates of the smoke around the area are 38°04'39.0"N 46°15'22.7"E.

The U.S. Central Command said on Wednesday (March 11) that Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks have 'dropped drastically' since the opening phase of Operation Epic Fury.

In a post on X CENTCOM also released videos of strikes that were marked 'unclassified'.

Reuters could not verify the location and the date of the video. No older version of the footage was found posted online before March 11.

Images released on Wednesday (March 11) by the Royal Thai Navy showed a cargo vessel engulfed in black smoke while lifeboats floated nearby.

Reuters was able to confirm the identity of the vessel as Thai-flagged bulk carrier Mayuree Naree by IMO number, hull and superstructure seen in the images which matched file imagery of the vessel.

Vessels sailed on Wednesday (March 11) in the Gulf, near the Strait of Hormuz, as seen from northern Ras al-Khaimah in the UAE near the border with Oman's Musandam governorate.

Earlier, three vessels have been hit by unknown projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz, maritime security and risk firms said on Wednesday, bringing the number of ships struck in the region since the Iran conflict began to at least 14.

Iran cannot be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons alongside a missile capability that could soon enable it to strike Europe, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said on Wednesday (March 11).
