Eyewitness footage showed damage at Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday (June 3) as fire burned and smoke filled the air, following an Iranian attack.

Flights at Kuwait International Airport were suspended after an Iranian drone and missile attack damaged airport facilities and diplomatic missions, killing one person and injuring more than 60 others, according to Kuwaiti authorities and state media.

Reuters verified the location as Kuwait City, Kuwait by the roof structure, columns, and interior of the airport terminal, which matched archive and satellite imagery and another photo verified by Reuters. The date when the video was filmed was verified ministry that one person was killed in an Iranian attack targeting civilian facilities in Kuwait, including the international airport and diplomatic missions.

The civil aviation authority said Kuwait Airways was resuming flights from Terminal 4, after evaluating damage and taking safety measures.

The U.S. military said two Iranian missiles aimed at Kuwait fell short or broke up in flight, while several ballistic missiles failed to strike their targets in the region.
