Odesa (Ucrania)

Russian drones struck the Ukrainian southern city of Odesa, injuring 11 people including two children, regional governor Oleh Kiper said on Telegram on Wednesday (May 27).

Eight people were hospitalized, including three in serious condition.

The strike damaged residential buildings, a branch of postal operator Nova Poshta, and a grocery store, while several vehicles caught fire.

Local authorities released footage showing fire officers battling a blaze.

Reuters verified the location from the buildings, the road layout, and the trees seen in the video, which matched archive and satellite imagery of the area. The date when the video was recorded was verified from an official statement from the regional governor on May 27, who said that drones struck civilian infrastructure in the area.
