STORY: Eyewitness footage from Tuesday (September 15) shows the moment of a strike on people coming to the aid of a wounded man in Gaza.

Reuters was able to verify the location as Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood, Gaza, from the buildings, structural damage, debris, tents and road layout seen in the video which matched satellite imagery and corroborating video filmed shortly afterwards.

The date when the video was filmed was confirmed by statements from the health officials and Hamas sources. No older version of the video was found posted online before Tuesday.

Medics and witnesses said there were two strikes in the area and that some casualties resulted from a second strike near a group of people who had rushed to aid the initial victims. The eyewitness video only shows one strike, but an injured man is shown on the ground when it begins.

Israeli airstrikes on a vehicle killed at least two Palestinians, one a child, and wounded seven others in the northern Gaza Strip neighbourhood of Sheikh Radwan, according to medics. The Israeli military said it had struck a militant in the area, without elaborating.
