X056-IRAN PRESIDENTE Y MINISTRO EXTERIORES CALLES TEHERAN
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi joined pro‑government rallies in Tehran on Tuesday night (March 31), with Pezeshkian seen greeting supporters as crowds gathered, waving Iranian flags.
Araqchi praised the crowd for their “motivation, enthusiasm and very high spirit.”
The rally comes as Iran's new leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, asked the United States for a ceasefire, U.S. President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post on Wednesday (April 1).
"We will consider when Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear. Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion," he said, a post on the Truth Social online platform.
