Taitug, Taiwan

Supermarket surveillance footage captured the moment an earthquake struck Taiwan's southeastern coastal county of Taitung on Wednesday (December 24), with products falls off shaking shelves.

The earthquake had a magnitude of 6.1, the island's weather administration said, although there were no immediate reports of damage.

More than 100 people were killed in a quake in southern Taiwan in 2016, while a 7.3 magnitude quake killed more than 2,000 people in 1999.
