STORY: A convoy carrying two bodies handed over by the Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza, said to be of deceased hostages, arrived at Israel's National Center of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv on Tuesday night (October 21).

Under a U.S.-mediated agreement to end the war in Gaza and release hostages, Hamas released 20 living hostages and was to release 28 deceased hostages, but after the release of the two bodies, if identified as hostages, Hamas would still hold 13.

In exchange for the hostages, Israel released nearly 2,000 convicted Palestinian prisoners and detainees, among other steps under the deal.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance arrived today to Israel and is delivered a statement along with U.S envoys on the ceasefire details.

Vance is scheduled to meet with Netanyahu saying the pair would discuss regional challenges and opportunities.
