Hawái (EEUU)

Molten lava was seen flowing spectacularly from the crater of Hawaii's Kilauea volcano on Tuesday (December 23), in live cameras provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

USGS said lava fountaining began at 8:10 p.m. local time (0610 GMT).

The geological agency estimated lava fountains seen to be approximately 100 feet (30 meters) in height, with an increase expected.

Kilauea is one of the world's most active volcanoes and has been erupting periodically since December 23, 2024.
