V077-FRANCIA CUMBRE FRANCO ALEMANA
French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz met with their respective cabinets on Friday (August 29) in the southern French port city of Toulon.
Macron earlier said in a post on X the leaders and their ministers would "endorse eight strategic documents and launch more than twenty flagship projects".
France and Germany want to drive a new dynamic that is "more competitive, more dynamic and more sovereign" for Europe, Macron wrote.
The joint cabinet meeting is the first held between France and Germany since Merz and his government came to office earlier this year.
