STORY: Israel's Government Press Office (GPO) published on Friday (March 6) footage showing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during security consultations, said to have taken place on Thursday night (March 5).

The video shows Netanyahu in meeting with security officials, including Defence Minister Israel Katz and head of Israel's Shin Bet security service, David Zini. Israel continued to bomb Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon as part of the war against Iran it began a week ago alongside the United States.

In an apparent escalation of his own war aims, U.S. President Donald Trump demanded the right to help choose Iran's next supreme leader, successor to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, killed by Israeli bombs on the war's first day.

Meanwhile, Iranian and Hezbollah missile barrages continued to send millions of Israelis into shelters
