French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Pretoria, South Africa on Friday afternoon (November 21) to attend the G20 summit hosted in Johannesburg on the weekend (November 22 - 23).

Macron will lay a wreath in memory of anti-apartheid activists in Pretoria later on Friday afternoon.

The Group of 20 summit takes place for the first time on African soil, as South Africa's presidency has said this year's gathering will focus on advancing multilateralism and addressing global developmental challenges.
