V069-ALEMANIA CAIDA ACCIONES EUROPEAS
European shares fell on Friday (November 6), with losses across the board as a global market rout gathered steam, capping a painful week as investors grappled with uncertainty over AI stocks after Democrats took control of the US Congress.
After the AI selloff on stock markets in the US and Asia, Germany's DAX opened sharply lower on Friday. The German blue-chip index fell 1.7% to 25,868 points.
"After yesterday's record high, there was significant profit-taking after all, which was further fuelled by developments in the US and now on the Asian stock markets," Arthur Brunner, a trader at ICF Bank, told Reuters TV in Frankfurt.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index dropped 1% to 648.83 points by 0919 GMT, with benchmarks in most major regional markets trading lower. Friday's losses wiped out STOXX's gains for the week, and it was down about 0.3%.

"After yesterday's record high, there was significant profit-taking after all, which was further fuelled by developments in the US and now on the Asian stock markets. The DAX is currently down 1.5%. However, the slide seems to have stopped, and the market is now waiting for the latest figures coming out of the US at midday today. That's when the jobs data will be released. And at the moment it looks as if the slide has been halted for now."

"The euphoria in the tech markets has gone, and it's giving way to disillusionment. The hyperscalers alone, Apple, Alphabet, Meta and Oracle, have issued almost $50 billion in bonds this week. That shows what interest these companies will have to pay in the future, and what payment obligations they face for repayments. So here, the euphoria has given way to reality after all."

"I think this week's election results acted as a kind of trigger for concerns that people had actually had for quite some time. And there will certainly be regulation in the field of AI, because there is a danger that these systems could take on a life of their own. And I think everyone will benefit if sensible regulation comes about here too."
