V066-EEUU DAÑOS TORNADOS EN OKLAHOMA
t least 10 people were injured after tornadoes hit northern Oklahoma on Thursday (April 23), KOCO News, an affiliate of ABC News, reported.
According to the report, emergency crews were conducting search and rescue operations after a tornado caused significant damage, impacting Vance Air Force Base, which is located in Enid, Oklahoma.
The air force base confirmed the impact from the tornado in a Facebook post and said they were conducting accountability procedures to ensure all personnel were safe and accounted for.
Enid Mayor David Mason said personnel from the city's police department and the fire department were coordinating emergency response efforts and urged residents to stay away from the Grayridge area, which was impacted by the tornado.
According to local media reports, the Garfield County emergency manager had reported at least 10 people were injured in the area with minor injuries.
Mason's office and the Garfield County emergency management did not immediately respond to a Reuters' request for details about the reported injuries.
