V052-LIBANO FUNERALES
Mourners in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre attended on Friday (April 10) the funeral of family members killed a day earlier in an Israeli strike on Abbasiyeh, that killed seven people, according to Lebanon's state news agency NNA.
At least 1,888 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon, while at least two Israelis have been killed by Hezbollah rocket fire.
Israel says it is targeting Hezbollah infrastructure, as it intensified its air attacks on Lebanon after Hezbollah fired missiles at Israel on March 2, three days into the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran. It has since widened a ground invasion into Lebanon's south, ordering hundreds of thousands of Lebanese to flee villages it views as Hezbollah strongholds.

"These barbaric attacks have absolutely no justification - neither humanitarian, nor under international law, nor moral. Therefore, whenever we see these massacres being committed against civilians from our people, our families in the south, and the Lebanese in general, we say more (firmly) that we are attached to this land through our presence, our steadfastness, our patriotism, and our Lebanese identity, in this country which is the final homeland for all its people. Most importantly, we must remain united internally and keep conveying the message that the Lebanese people, and the people of the south, are a people who indeed love life, but who at the same time do not give up their rights."
