V050-PORTUGAL LISBOA TURISTAS SEGURIDAD
STORY: Tourists visiting Lisbon on Friday (September 5) said they felt safe despite the recent funicular accident where 16 people died, including 11 foreigners.
Standing in Restauradores Square near the site of the accident, U.S. tourist Sudhir Agarwal said that accidents happen everywhere but that wouldn't stop him from travelling.
Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro described the tragedy as one of the greatest in its recent history.
Police updated the list of fatalities that now includes five Portuguese citizens, three Britons, two South Koreans, two Canadians, and one from each of France, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United States.
They released no names or other details. More than 20 people were injured.
