Worshippers marked Good Friday at Notre Dame cathedral on Friday (April 3) gathering for prayers and quiet reflection on one of the most solemn days in the Christian calendar.

For Christians, Good Friday commemorates the execution of Jesus on the cross and worshippers observe the day with fasting, prayer and remembrance ahead of Easter Sunday (April 5).
