SHOWS: Drone footage captured the full scale of devastation left along Venezuela's La Guaira coastline in the wake of two powerful earthquakes that struck the country's northern coast just under a week ago. Aerial images showed on Wednesday (July 1) a landscape of near-total destruction — collapsed buildings and homes lining the seafront. Cranes could be seen working to clear the wreckage as rescue and recovery efforts continued across the battered coastal state.

Wherever I have to take him, I’ll take him. He’s important; he’s part of the family. He and the other dog we have there—they’re part of the family."

The civil protection system and the public emergency system were immediately deployed."
