V008-NORUEGA CORINA MACHADO CON REYES
STORY: Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria Corina Machado on Friday (December 12) met members of Norway’s royal family at the palace in Oslo.
Norway’s King Harald, Queen Sonja and Crown Prince Haakon were there to greet the Venezuelan opposition leader, and offered their congratulations.
Machado arrived in Oslo in the early hours of Thursday (December 11), failing to reach the Norwegian capital in time for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony held hours earlier.
The 58-year-old engineer had secretly left Venezuela for Oslo in defiance of a decade-long travel ban imposed by authorities and after spending more than a year in hiding.
