V007-ISRAEL PASAJERA AVION ATACADO
A passenger on board a flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv captured the moment it landed safely in Saudi Arabia after an ordeal of what Israeli officials said was an attempt to crash the plane on Wednesday (September 30).
Passengers and crew members managed to subdue the co-pilot who stabbed his colleague on an Israel-bound flight and sent the jet plunging nearly 14,000 feet (4,267 m) in less than 30 seconds.
Passengers chanted "Israeli nation is alive" after a second air crew aboard helped land the plane after the incident.
Reuters verified the visuals from the plane interiors, seats and headrests which matched archive imagery of flydubai planes. Passengers seen in footage are also seen in other verified videos from the flight.
The date was verified from Reuters reporting and statements released by Israeli officials saying that a flight bound for Israel from the United Arab Emirates diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia after transmitting emergency signals on September 30.
Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 confirmed that this was the flydubai flight FZ107.
