STORY: Eyewitness video on Friday (March 13) showed smoke rising in central Dubai’s business district near the Burj Khalifa.

The Dubai Media Office said on X that debris from an interception caused minor damage to the facade of a building in central Dubai on Friday morning.

Reuters confirmed the location from building layout and exterior which matched file and satellite imagery of the area. The location also matched file images captured by Reuters witness.

Coordinates of the damaged building: 25.2070761645394, 55.2760580412825.

The exact time when the video was filmed could not be verified but no older version of the video was found posted online before March 13.
