V004-UCRANIA ZELENSKY SOBRE RUSIA
STORY: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Thursday (January 29) he was grateful to the United States for its efforts to halt Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Speaking in his nightly video address, Zelenskiy said Kyiv hoped Washington would be able to secure an end to the attacks, adding that the situation in the coming days would show the results.
The situation remained most difficult in the capital of Ukraine, particularly with heating problems, Zelenskiy added. More than 450 residential buildings in several districts of Kyiv were without heat, mostly as a result of the strikes, he said.
