STORY: A wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Ceremony on Saturday (June 14) morning marked the start of a full day of festivities celebrating the U.S. Army's 250th birthday.

During the traditional ceremony, attended by guests and units from the uniformed services, Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll, lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Festivities on Saturday include a rare military parade in Washington D.C., set to feature tanks on the streets and aircraft flying overhead, which will be presided over by U.S. President Donald Trump, whose 79th birthday is also on Saturday.
