S608-VENEZUELA MADURO CON NIÑOS DEPORTADOS
STORY: Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro welcomed on state TV seven migrant children returned home on Friday (July 18) aboard a U.S. deportation flight, reuniting with families after being held in American custody.
Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello and First Lady Cilia Flores received the children at Maiquetia airport near Caracas, where Cabello said the minors had been "rescued" from separation.
The children were part of a group of at least 251 deportees who arrived from Texas, while Cabello noted that 32 other Venezuelan migrant children remain in U.S. care without their families.
