S604-ISRAEL DAÑOS ATAQUE IRANI
Emergency services and paramedics were at the scene of a missile strike in Rishon Lezion on Saturday (June 14) morning as Iran and Israel targeted each other with missiles and airstrikes.
A residential building was seen severely damaged in the city just south of Tel Aviv, Israel's largest city, where air raid sirens had sounded as Iranian missiles streaked across the skies sending residents rushing into shelters. The military said its air defence systems were operating.
According to a spokesperson from Israel's ambulance service MDA, there were 21 injuries reported in the coastal plain region of the country.
The attacks come after Israel on Friday (June 13) launched its biggest-ever air offensive against its longtime foe in a bid to prevent it from developing a nuclear weapon.
