STORY: Bayern Munich may have beaten Boca Juniors in their Club World Cup match on Friday (June 20), but you would not have been able to guess it by watching joyous Boca fans spill out of Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium after the match on Friday (June 20).

Boca fans sang and chanted as they made their way down the stadium ramps and into the street in a flood of blue and gold.

Although their team lost and were held to a draw in their opening match against Benfica, Boca fans said they still had faith their side could advance to the knockout stages.

With the 2-1 win in Miami, Bayern booked their spot in the last 16, having also beaten Auckland City in their opening match.

Bayern fans said they were thrilled to see their side through but were equally enthralled by the enthusiastic fans from South America.

Boca, on one point, remain in contention as they face amateurs Auckland City in the last round of matches while Bayern will take on Benfica.
