S035-IRAN ADVIERTE EMPLEO MISILES AVANZADOS
STORY: Iran's IRGC senior commander, Ebrahim Jabbari, said on Saturday (February 28), Iran was prepared to use advanced and most powerful missiles in war with U.S. following strikes carried out by the U.S. and Israel, targeting its top leaders and plunging the Middle East into a conflict that U.S. President, Donald Trump, said would end a security threat to the U.S. and give Iranians a chance to topple their rulers.
"We are equipped with the most advanced capabilities to fight you for years," Ebrahim Jabbari said in a televised address.
The first wave of strikes in what the Pentagon named "OPERATION EPIC FURY" mainly targeted Iranian officials, a source familiar with the matter said, two days after indirect talks mediated by Oman failed to produce a breakthrough on Iran's nuclear program.
The renewed confrontation between Iran and its long-time foes threatened to further dim hopes for a diplomatic solution to Tehran's nuclear dispute with the West.
