STORY: Eyewitness video released on Saturday (August 2) shows an explosion near a Russian oil facility in Novokuybyshevsk, Russia.

Reuters was able to confirm the location of the video as Novokuibyshevsk from the buildings, the road layout and the trees, which matched file and satellite imagery of the area.

The date when the video was recorded could not be verified independently. However, the governor of Samara region said on August 2 that an enemy drone had struck an industrial enterprise in Novokuibyshevsk.

Ukraine's military said on Saturday (August 2) that it had struck oil facilities inside Russia, including a major refinery as well as a military airfield for drones and an electronics factory.
