STORY: A Russian guided bomb struck a residential building in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Saturday (June 20), killing one person and injuring nine others, including two children, local officials said.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said in Telegram that the bomb hit a residential house early in the morning, prompting an emergency response involving rescuers, police, medics and humanitarian workers. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said all nine injured people were hospitalized.

One resident, Olena Tsybulnyk, told Reuters that she barely had time to react after hearing an air raid siren before the building began collapsing around her.
