S010-UCRANIA ATAQUE RUSO SOBRE KIEV
A Russian attack on Kyiv on Saturday (January 24) killed one person and injured four, Kyiv mayor Vitalii Klychko said on Telegram.
Firefighters extinguished burning trucks set ablaze by the strike in Kyiv, while the attack also damaged the roof of the Roshen chocolate factory.
Russia launched waves of air strikes against Ukraine's two largest cities Kyiv and Kharkiv early on Saturday, with one person killed and at least 23 injured. Ukraine's air force said Russia had launched 375 drones and 21 missiles in the strikes, which once again targeted energy infrastructure, knocking out power and heat for large parts of the capital.
Moscow carried out the strikes as trilateral, U.S.-brokered talks between Russia and Ukraine continued into a second day in the United Arab Emirates, with no sign of compromise on Friday (January 23).
