S010-REPUBLICA CHECA OLA DE CALOR
Temperatures soared into the high 30-degrees Celsius (around 100 Fahrenheit) in Prague on Friday (June 26) as a major heatwave spread into Central Europe.
On Saturday (June 27), the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute had issued heat warnings for the entire Czech Republic and a highest-level red warning was in place for Prague and much of the country.
Temperatures were expected to get even higher going into Sunday (June 28).
