STORY: The vessel "Conscience" joined a fresh flotilla of 10 boats headed to Gaza to bring aid and medical personnel to the embattled strip, a video released on Saturday (October 4) showed.

The participants on board were trained on how to use life vests in case of emergencies, while others spray-painted pro-Palestinian slogans and symbols on the walls of the ship.

The passengers were seen chanting, "Free Palestine" as the ship sailed towards its detination.

Conscience left Italy's Otranto port on Tuesday (September 30) evening.

The Global Sumud Flotilla, an previous attempt to break Israel's blocked on Gaza, was intercepted by the Israeli military this week. Some 450 activists, including Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg, were detained.
