S009-CHINA FERIA ROBOTS JUEGAN TENIS DE MESA
STORY: At the technical equipment exhibition area of the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Saturday, two full-size humanoid robots stood facing each other across a table tennis table at the Hitch Open booth, swinging, hitting the ball, and returning to position in one fluid motion. Visitors could also play against the robots.
It is reported that a full-size humanoid robot must complete incoming-ball perception, trajectory prediction, decision-making, and racket swinging within about 0.3 seconds while maintaining whole-body stability. Its vision camera refreshes one frame every 5 milliseconds, leaving the decision-making system a reaction window of only tens of milliseconds. The exhibit has been selected as one of the top 10 cutting-edge technologies at this year's CIIE.
