"I was at my workplace. The air-raid siren went off. I was reading the news, because if there’s no immediate threat to the city, we don’t leave. They don't announce that Kryvyi Rih is on ‘red alert’, that we need to evacuate, or that the complex is being shut down. We saw that a Shahed drone was near Zelenodolsk, then it disappeared from the radar. Literally a couple of minutes later, there was a loud explosion, and everything started falling from the ceiling onto our heads."

"I ran out into the parking lot. There were very loud screams, and there was a lot of fire and smoke. After that, I went back to my workplace to grab my phone so I could tell my friend not to come to the complex with her child, as they were due to arrive. And then there was a second explosion. There were a lot of casualties in the parking lot, a lot of blood, and the concrete slab in the parking lot was shattered."

"We understand that this is terror, that it is an intimidation of ordinary citizens aimed at causing internal destabilisation. Just a shopping and entertainment centre, on a Friday evening."
