S007-BELGICA INCENDIO ALMACEN
A fire broke out on Saturday (June 6) in a warehouse in the Brussels suburb of Anderlecht, sending thick plumes of black smoke into the air, Belgian public broadcaster VRT reported.
The cause of the fire and the nature of the goods stored in the warehouse were not immediately known.
Alerted at around 7 a.m., firefighters were working to bring the blaze under control, urging nearby residents to keep doors and windows closed.
Smoke continued to linger over the area as police cordoned off the warehouse and surrounding streets.
Reuters could see some residents being evacuated from the area on a bus.
