S006-CAMERUN PAPA BENDICE ENFERMOS HOSPITAL
STORY: Pope Leo visited patients at a Catholic hospital in Douala on Friday (April17), offering prayers and blessings during a stop on his Africa tour.
He prayed with patients and staff before continuing his programme in Cameroon.
During the visit, the pope said he hoped it would bring comfort and gave his blessing to those present and their loved ones. He also spent time meeting patients.
Crowds have turned out enthusiastically to greet the pope during his visit to Cameroon, lining the streets along his routes and wearing colourful fabrics bearing his image. Friday marked Leo’s last full day in the country. He is due to travel to Angola on Saturday.
