STORY: The father of a Spanish student murdered this week in Cuautla, Mexico, visited the site where his daughter died on Friday (September 18) to leave flowers in her memory.

Valentin Tacoronte arrived at the Casa de la Cultura cultural center accompanied by Spain's Consul General in Mexico, his lawyer, and state authorities.

Footage showed Tacoronte laying flowers at the memorial but declined to speak with media present at the scene.

The visit occurred shortly before an initial court hearing for Francisco Javier "N", the suspect accused of killing the student identified as Claudia Tacoronte.

After spending several minutes at the memorial, Tacoronte and his companions departed. The victim's body was expected to be repatriated to Spain on a private flight later that evening, according to local media outlets.
