S004-PERU ACCIDENTE AUTOBUS
STORY: A bus carrying 66 passengers overturned in the Andes mountains of central Peru on Friday (July 25), killing 18 people and injuring 24 others, according to the Regional Health Directorate of Junin.
Police, firefighters and local residents were involved in the rescue operations, searching through the wreckage of the bus.
Survivors reported mechanical issues with the vehicle prior to the crash.
