Ciudad de México (México)

Mexican students staged a silent performance outside the Israeli embassy in Mexico City on Friday (October 3), demanding the release of fellow nationals detained by Israeli forces aboard the Sumud humanitarian flotilla bound for Gaza.

The demonstrators, dressed in black and holding signs, stood in silence to protest what they described as the kidnapping of their companions who are being treated like criminals and terrorists, according to student protester Aura Quetzal.

The protesters called for Mexico to sever all diplomatic ties with Israel and accused the international community of complicity through inaction, with a student stating it was their legal and moral duty to stop what they called genocide.
