STORY: The 2026 Lancang-Mekong Buddhist Exchange Conference, themed "Lighting the Heart Lamp for Shared Prosperity," was held on Friday in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Representatives of Buddhist communities from seven countries held a prayer ceremony for world peace at Tianning Temple in Nanning. The conference was hosted by the Buddhist Association of China and organized by the Guangxi Buddhist Association. More than 100 Buddhist representatives and guests from seven countries—China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka—gathered to jointly write a new chapter in building a Lancang-Mekong community with a shared future.
