S003-EEUU LIDERES TECH ELOGIAN TRUMP CENA CASA BLANCA
STORY: U.S. President Donald Trump hosted a high-profile dinner with more than two dozen technology executives at the White House on Thursday (September 4), where industry leaders lauded his administration’s stance on artificial intelligence and business.
The guest list included Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Google executives Sundar Pichai and Sergey Brin.
Zuckerberg told Trump the companies were investing heavily in U.S. infrastructure, estimating Meta and its peers would pour more than $600 billion into data centers and innovation through 2028.
Brin and Pichai praised what they described as a constructive relationship with Washington on AI policy, while AMD’s Lisa Su credited the administration for accelerating semiconductor development. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Gates also thanked Trump and first lady Melania Trump for their focus on workforce training and technology trust.
Cook said Apple was making major U.S. manufacturing investments thanks to the administration’s policies, while Altman called Trump “a pro-business, pro-innovation president” whose approach was helping American companies lead in artificial intelligence. Oracle CEO Safra Katz described the moment as “incredible,” adding that Trump’s recognition of AI’s transformative power had “unleashed American innovation and creativity.”
The event underscored a shift in Silicon Valley’s relationship with Trump, once marked by clashes over regulation and content moderation but now recalibrated since his 2024 election victory.

"Sure. Well, I mean. I mean, it's. Sorry, should I turn this on? All right. Well, thanks for hosting us. I mean, this is quite a group to get together. And, you know, I think, you know, all of the companies here are building just about making huge investments in the country in order to build our data centers and infrastructure to power the next wave of innovation. So it's, you know, we don't often get together as the the CEOs of the different companies but it's good to see everyone. (TRUMP ASKING: How much are you spending would you say, over the next few years?) Oh, gosh. I mean, I think it's probably going to be something like, I don't know, at least $600 billion through '28 in the US. It's significant. (TRUMP SAYING: That's a lot. Thank you, Mark. It's great to have you. Thank you. Great to have you.)"
3. (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. PRESIDENT, DONALD TRUMP, SAYING:

And you and your policies are really helping a lot. So thank you very much. And also, I want to thank Madam First Lady for hosting what I think is perhaps the most defining issue, which is about skilling and economic opportunity that comes with AI.
