STORY: Firefighters battled a massive blaze in Denver late on Friday (January 2), which local media said occurred at a building that was under construction.

Aerial footage from KMGH, the local ABC News affiliate, showed numerous emergency vehicles surrounding the site as firefighters on tower ladders sprayed water onto the flames.

Local fire official Robert Murphy said the blaze was "huge for Denver", estimating that more than 100 firefighters were on scene.

In an update on Friday night, the Denver Fire Department said no injuries had been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to local media.
