S003-EEUU HAWAI VOLCAN LAVA
STORY: Molten lava was seen flowing spectacularly from the crater of Hawaii's Kilauea volcano at dusk from on Friday (November 7), in live cameras provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
According to ABC News, the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said on Thursday (November 6) that Kilauea was likely to enter a "high fountaining phase" soon.
Models suggested the activity could begin anytime between Friday and Tuesday (November 11).
Kilauea is "one of the world's most active volcanoes" and has been erupting periodically since December 23, 2024.
