S002-EEUU DESFILE HALLOWEEN NUEVA YORK
STORY: Thousands of costumed participants flooded downtown Manhattan during the 52nd annual Village Halloween Parade on Friday, (October 31), celebrating its 2025 theme, “It’s a Potluck!” which highlighted unity and shared humanity amid divisive times.
The parade began at 7 p.m. ET (2300 GMT), proceeding along Sixth Avenue from Canal Street to 15th Street, with free entry for costumed participants.
An official after-party, themed “A Vampire Ball,” followed at Brooklyn’s House of Yes in Industry City, opening at 9 p.m. ET (0100 GMT) and offering a $5,000 cash prize for the best costume.
Thousands participated and security was tight, but the event remained peaceful.
The Village Halloween Parade started small in 1973 and quickly attracted thousands of costumed revellers each year. Organizers say it is the United States' largest public Halloween celebration.
